PDP Timeline

PDP (Programmed Data Processor) minicomputers were produced by DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) from the late 50s to the early 90s.

The range of PDP computers includes the following models:

  • 1959 - 1970 : PDP-1, PDP-4, PDP-7, PDP-9, PDP-15 (18-bit machines).
  • 1962 - 1976 : PDP-5, PDP-8, PDP-12, PDP-14 (12-bit machines).
  • 1964 - 1978 (?) : PDP-6, PDP-10 (36-bit machines).
  • 1970 - 1993 : PDP-11 (16-bit machines).
